Jana, the owner, taught band for 5 years (in South America and in Fort Collins) before becoming a professional band instrument repair technician in the late 1970's. After finishing the course work at Western Iowa Tech, she returned to Fort Collins to open The Repair Shop in June of 1979 and the rest is history. She is most proud of the reputation the Shop has built over the years for high quality repair work -- the only way it should be!Jana also holds membership with The National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians.
